The challenge
Automotive and aerospace parts have to carry their identity for life — part numbers, batch and date codes, VIN-linked serials and DataMatrix codes that survive heat, oil, paint and decades of service. We mark them permanently with fibre and UV lasers, code harnesses and hoses with CIJ at line speed, and use handheld coders for parts too large to move to a line.
